Italy Bioeconomy Pilot Study Visit

‘Exploring Italy’s Bioeconomy Together’ was a pilot study visit to Italy promoted by RuralBioUp project that toke place on last March in Milan and Turin in Italy.

Project partners IBF and SPRING organised the pilot study visit that will feed a replication manual of guidelines for the next study visits to be organised by RuralBioUp partners in their Regional Hubs. 

The “Exploring Italy’s Bioeconomy Together “  included:

  • sharing knowledge among Irish and Italian bioeconomy stakeholders
  • cooperation between stakeholders within similar value chains for potential collaborations in R&D projects between regions,
  • Visit Italian bioeconomy sites for knowledge exchange with Irish stakeholders
  • Provide updates on the current state of Italy and Ireland’s bioeconomy in terms of stakeholders, and research/ EU projects and provide best practices.

The study visits are designed to showcase the RuralBioUp project activities implemented and benefits obtained, exchange experiences and best practices, as well as establish new cooperation opportunities within the value chains selected.
